"To Refugees, Together with Refugees"

Japan joined the Refugee Convention in 1981, and it has been more than 40 years since it began accepting refugees. However, as of 2023, only 303 people have been recognized as refugees in Japan. What is the situation of the refugees who have fled to Japan?

We will learn about the situation and issues surrounding refugees in Japan and around the world, as well as the local acceptance practices implemented by the Arupe Nanmin Center. Let's think together about what we can do to coexist with refugees.
