Learning Japanese Class for Children (Compass) Volunteer Recruitment Information Session
Even if a child has finished their initial instruction and seems to be able to communicate with their friends without any problems, they may actually be having trouble with their studies. Even if they were born in Japan, the conversations at home are not as good as those at home.in one's native languageBecause of this, there are children with foreign roots who are unable to get along with their friends due to their insufficient Japanese language skills.(course)Currently, we hold classes twice a week on Tuesdays and Fridays at 17:00 to help students develop the language skills they need to navigate through the world.00We are active until 19:00.
We use our own original teaching materials to provide Japanese language instruction tailored to each child's needs. We do not teach subjects directly. We aim to help children acquire the Japanese language skills to read textbooks and progress through their own subject studies. We will explain the purpose of the group and the teaching materials. After that, if you wish, you can observe a face-to-face class.I will do it.
If you are able to continue your involvement, you will be given training and observations of actual lessons, including how to interact with children, how to research teaching materials, and how to create lesson plans, and you will gradually be able to participate in classes.
We have all the teaching materials for children. There are common basic teaching materials, but you need to be creative in how you approach children. What works for adult learners may not necessarily work for the child in front of you. Also, each child has their own personality and progress. There is no right way to teach, but you can learn things by gaining experience. Our group is advised by an experienced former teacher who taught Japanese at a junior high school, and we are volunteers who research teaching materials and build up our practice every day. We look forward to welcoming new members to join us in our activities.
