Multicultural and Multilingual Seminar 80 Years After the War "Thinking about the 80 Years After the War from the History Surrounding Foreigners"
*Applications will be accepted from 7:1 on Tuesday, July 10st! The history of foreigners in Japan over the past 80 years since the end of the war has also been a history of the struggle for coexistence. As of 2025, the number of foreigners living in Japan is on the rise, and the need for multicultural coexistence in local communities is becoming more and more pressing. However, in many situations, foreigners continue to be denied the same rights as Japanese people. This time, we have invited Hiroshi Tanaka, who has been working for many years in anti-discrimination and rights protection movements for foreigners in Japan, to speak about the history of Japanese society surrounding foreigners, as well as the issues that continue to this day and how to solve them.
