We regularly carry out various activities in cooperation with the local community and schools, focusing on projects that create places where foreigners can gather with peace of mind and promote empowerment, as well as human resource development that promotes a multicultural society.

The Toyonaka International Association hosts "Sun Place" on Sundays from 13:00pm to 15:00pm, providing a place for children (elementary school to high school students) with foreign roots to gather.
Sun Place does not have a set program during activity hours, but is a place where we listen to and respect what the children who come want to do. We value a place where children can feel safe and build relationships while chatting with university student volunteers, playing games, dancing, and doing their homework.
In addition, there are many children whose first language is Japanese, and many who are in the process of learning Japanese. Therefore, being able to speak a foreign language is not necessarily a requirement for volunteering at Sun Place. Why not join us in creating a place where children can feel free to spend time and connect with each other?
If you are interested in our activities, please feel free to contact us. We look forward to your participation!

Japanese Language Exchange Volunteer Training Course Participants Wanted
One of the association's core activities, "Japanese Language Exchange Activities," provides a place for foreign residents to learn Japanese, while placing emphasis on all participants meeting, getting to know each other, and building rich human relationships. In this course, you will learn about the perspectives and concepts of Japanese language exchange activities required to promote the creation of communities where diverse people can live safely and securely. *The first half of the 2025 fiscal year has ended.
Host Family Volunteer Registration Information Session
This is a home visit program where you can interact with international students living in student dormitories for a certain period of time. As a rule, it does not include homestay (lodging in a family home). Local residents become host families for international students, and the program provides an opportunity for them to deepen their understanding through friendly interactions. The entire family interacts with the international students by inviting them to their homes and going out together. Interactions can generally be conducted in Japanese. You can decide to register after the information session, so if you are interested, please apply and come along. *It has not yet been decided whether to hold the program in 2025.
